● Get ready with the bride: Bridesmaids are expected to show up to the designated get ready place on time, with all of their wedding attire and gear on hand. Aside from getting themselves ready for the aisle, the bridesmaids should do whatever is necessary in order to make sure that the bride is ready as well. This may consist of making sure she is happy and stress free, giving her space, making sure she eats, helping her into her dress, and much more.
● Assist the maid of honor: The maid of honor has a pretty big and important job on the day of the wedding. Bridesmaids should serve as a right hand lady by assisting her with any task she needs. This may range from a last minute run to the drug store to coordinating with the photographer.
● Participate in the ceremony: Bridesmaids should arrive at the venue on time, and be ready to walk down the aisle. It is crucial to keep chatter to a minimum and be respectful of those who are pulling the strings behind the curtains.
● Be model guests and the life of the party: Bridesmaids should chat with other guests in attendance, enjoy the food and drinks offered, participate in guest related activities, and try to be the life of the party in a respectful manner that does not overshadow the bride.
