Questions to Ask a Wedding Florist Before the Big Day

Wedding Ceremony - 2/7/2023

One of the most important parts of a wedding is the decor, which includes the flowers, Table settings, bouquets, and much more reliance on a wedding florist. At the Oklahoma Bridal Show, we see a lot of couples and get to hear a lot of questions being asked!

The top questions we recommend asking your florist before booking them are:

1.Are you available on the date of our wedding? While this might seem obvious, it is still important to determine if the florist has availability before continuing with the consultation. Wedding florists are known to book up quickly, so make sure to ask this question in advance.
2.How would you describe your style? It is important to know the style that your potential florist uses as they will be designing the flower arrangements for the big day. Couples can ask what the florist would recommend for their wedding if they were unsure of any decor or arrangement ideas. This is also a great time to ask the florist for samples of their previous work.
3.What are your rates? This is where couples can establish a budget with their florist. It is also a great time to show the potential florist ideas and plans for the wedding in order to obtain a more accurate estimate from the florist.
4.What are the day-of logistics? Couples need to make sure that their florist has a plan for the big day. Whether the arrangements will be ready prior to the wedding or if the florist plans on delivering the flowers, it is important to know when and where your arrangements will be ready.
Couples should ask the florist as many questions as they see fit. We recommend that our clients ask these four questions to establish an understanding of the services they are receiving on their big day.
