As wedding vendors, we all know that we need good reviews in order to grow our businesses. Let's say you help a couple, they have a great experience, but now what? You would love a good review, but it seems pushy to ask. And if you ask, what if they give you a review you don't expect?
3 steps to follow to ask bridal customers for a good review are:
1.Choose the Platform: The more specific you are with your customers, the better. If you know you really need Wedding Wire or Google reviews, ask for them. When you reach out to the customer, send them the link to exactly where they can write the review.
2.Set Expectations: If you need a review with specifics about a portion of your services, set that expectation. Tell the couple what a review will mean to you and your business. It helps them understand the importance of it.
3.Ask for What You Need: The best way to get a good review is to ask for it. When you reach out and ask, let them know what an honor it was to be a part of their wedding and ask them to write a ‘good' or ‘positive' review.
There are some business owners who will offer something for a positive review, such as a percentage off of their services or a coffee gift card. This is a very personal decision for a business owner, but that is a great way to help.
